He scored an unbeaten 166 in the First Test in Adelaide and 172 within the Third Test in Sydney, ending the series with 352 runs at 117.33. In 1986–87, Gavaskar’s final season in Test cricket, India faced an extended season of 11 home Tests.

Mohammad Azharuddin
Mohammad Azharuddin is a former Indian cricket captain and politician. He was a great batsman and also captained the Indian team in 1990. Mohammad Azharuddin was born on February 8, 1963, in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Azharuddin was at the end of his career when he was found guilty of fixing the match and then he was banned from the team. South African captain laugher kraonje accused him of fixing the match when the Indian central bureau of Investigation found him guilty in his report. This ban was imposed on November 8, 2012, by Andhra Pradesh High Court. He was awarded the Arjuna Award 1986 and the Padma Shri in 1988.
