Big Bash is one of the biggest tournaments in the world after the Indian premier league. In previous blogs, we saw the article winners of the Indian premier league from 2008 till now. In this blog, we will discuss the big bash league winners list and women’s big bash league winners list. The many new players are getting attention by playing in the big bash league. That’s why this league is very popular. Big bash started in the 2011 -12 years and still, it is running. The women’s big bash league started in 2015 and that is also a successful league. Winner of 2011-12 Big Bash League

This is the first year of the big bash league and from this year the journey of one of the biggest tournaments starts. The first final of the 2011 big bash league was played between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground. The match was won by the Sydney Sixers by 7 wickets. Moises Henriques was nominated as player of the match in that match. In that series, David Hussey was nominated as a player of the series.

Winner of 2012-13 Big Bash League

The final of the season is played in between Brisbane heat and Perth scorchers. The Perth Scorchers again qualified for the finals of the big bash league but unfortunately again failed to win the title. And Brisbane heat won the big bash league season 2. In this match, Nathan Hauritz was nominated as a player of the match. And Aaron Finch as a player of the series. He scored 332 runs in 8 innings in that series with an average of 66.40. In that series, he also scored a century.

Winner of 2013-14 Big Bash League

This time during 3rd season of the big bash league again Perth scorchers reserve their position in the final of BBL. in 3rd season the Perth scorchers beat the Hobart hurricanes in the final and won the first title of the league. The match was played at WACA ground in Perth. Brad Hogg was nominated as player of the match. In 2013-14 big bash league Ben dunk scored most runs 395. Cameron Gannon took 18 wickets in that season.

Winner of 2014-15 big bash league

This year also Perth scorchers again won the big bash league by beating Sydney Sixers. In that series, Jacques Kalis was nominated as the play of the series. And Shaun Marsh was the player of the match because of his 73 runs. In that match, the first inning was played by Sidney Sixers, and managed to score 147 runs in their 20 overs. In chasing the Perth scorchers Shaun marsh played the massive knock of 73 runs because of his knock Perth scorchers won their 2nd title.

Winner of 2015-16 Big Bash League

In the big bash league 2015-16 the new champion got to the league. The Sydney Thunder won this time title. They beat Melbourne Stars by 3 wickets. Usman Khwaja played a knock of 70 runs and managed to get a total. Due to his knock, he was nominated as a player of the match. Chris Lynn was Nominated as a player in the series. Also in that series, clint MacKay takes most wickets he takes a total of 18 wickets in that series.

Winner of 2015 Women Big Bash League

 the year is special in big bash because this year the women’s Big bash league is also organized by the Australian Board.  the Sydney Thunder won the first WBBL title. This year both WBBL and BBL titles are won by Sydney Thunder. In the final Sydney, the sixers made 115 runs in their 20 overs, and then Sydney Thunder women got that total by 3 wickets in hand. In that match, Erin Osborne was nominated as player of the match.

Winner of 2016-17 Big Bash League

This year Perth Scorchers won the title of Big Bash league again. They won their 3rd big bash title. They beat Sydney Sixers in the final of the 2016-17 big bash final by 9 wickets in hand. The Michael Klinger from Perth Scorchers made a half-century and scored 71 runs. Jhey Richardson was nominated as player of the match because of their bowling spell. 

Winner of 2016 Women Big Bash League

The final match of the women’s big bash league is played between Sydney Sixers and Perth scorchers. Sydney Sixers made 124 runs in their first innings with a loss of 5 wickets. In chasing that total, Perth scorchers women failed to get that total. They only got 117 runs in their 20 overs. In that match, Sarah aley was nominated as the player of the match. He took 4 wickets in the final. And beth Mooney was nominated as a player of the series.

Winner of 2017-18 Big Bash League

The final match of 2017-18 big bash league was played between Adelaide strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. These are the two new teams that are playing finals in the big bash league. While batting first Adelaide strikers got a total of 202 runs. Jake Weatherald scored a century in that match. He scored 115 runs. And due to his knock, he was nominated as a player of the match. In that season D’Arcy Short was nominated as player of the series.

Winner of 2017 Women Big Bash League

The 2017-18 women final was played between Perth scorchers women and Sydney sixers women. In that match, Perth Scorchers managed to get only 99 runs and all out. Chasing that score the Sydney sixers women team got that total in just 15 overs. Sarah coyote was nominated as the player of the match. He took 3 wickets in 17 runs.  In that season Amy Satterthwaite was nominated as player of the series.

Winner of 2018-19 Big Bash League

In this season of the big bash league, the Melbourne renegades played against Melbourne stars. In this match, Melbourne renegades made a total of 145 runs in 20 overs. In that innings, tom cooper played a knock of 43 runs. While Melbourne Stars only got 132 runs in 20 overs. In this match, Daniel Christian was nominated as a player of the match. This season also D’Arcy Short scored more runs in the big bash league he totals scored 637 runs. And Kane Richardson takes 24 wickets in the big bash league. D’Arcy Short also gets a player in the series.

Winner of 2018 Women Big Bash League

Brisbane Heat won this time the Women’s Big Bash League. While batting first in the final of WBBL Sydney Sixers only managed to get 131 runs in 20 overs. In Sydney Sixers batting Ellyse Perry scored 33 runs. This total is very low for the Brisbane heat women’s team; they got the total in 19.2 overs. In Brisbane heat batting beth Mooney scored a half-century. She scored 65 runs. Because of her match-winning knock, she was nominated as a player of the match. In that season ellyse perry scored the most runs she scored 777 runs in just 16 matches.

Winner of 2019-20 Big Bash League

The match was played between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars. While Batting first Sydney sixers only got the score 116 in 12 overs. Match overs are reduced due to rain. While the Melbourne Stars only scored 96 runs in 12 overs. In this season Marcus stoinis was nominated as a player of the series. And in the final of the season Josh Phillippe was a player of the match.  

Winner of 2019 Women’s Big Bash League

This final match was played between Adelaide strikers women and Brisbane heat women. The Adelaide Strikers women scored 161 runs in 20 overs. And Brisbane heat women’s chased that total comfortably. From the Brisbane heat team, the beth Mooney scored a half-century. She scored 56 runs. Due to her knock, she was nominated as player of the match.

Winner of 2020-21 Big Bash League

 This time also the best of the teams of big bash played against each other in the final of the league. Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers played against each other. In this match, Sydney Sixers won by 27 runs. The Sydney Sixers batted first in the match and managed to score 188 runs in 20 overs. James Vince from the Sydney Sixers played a knock of 95 runs. Because of that knock, he was nominated as a player of the match and josh Philippe as a player of the tournament.

Winner of 2020 women big bash league

This match was played between Melbourne Stars and Sydney thunder. While batting first Melbourne stars women scored just 86 runs in 20 overs. In chasing that total Sydney thunder women chased that total by 7 wickets in hand. In that match shabnim Ismail was nominated as player of the match.

These are the winners of both the big bash league and women’s big bash league. From starting of the big bash league in 2011-12 and starting of the women’s big bash league in 2015-16. Next year we will get a new champion and it will be added to our list.
