Anil Kumble is a cricketer of India. It is the first player in the world after Jim Laker to take 10 wickets in an innings in Test cricket. Anil is a resident of Bangalore city of Karnataka state. In his honour, one of the main crossroads of this city has been named Anil Kumble Square.

He is the first player to take 500 wickets from India. He has also been the coach of the Indian cricket team, he recently resigned due to differences with Captain Virat Kohli.

Anil Kumble was born on 16 October 1960 in Bangalore, Karnataka to Krishna Swamy and Saroja . His surname ‘Kumble’ was named by his family after his ancestral village named Kumbla. He is also known as jumbo due to his length. After studying at his National College Basavanagudi, he took a Mechanical Engineering degree from National School College of Engineering in 1992.

For Karnataka, Kumble made his first-class debut in 1989 against Hyderabad in which he took four wickets. Given his outstanding performance, he was selected for the Under 19 team against Pakistan.

Kumble made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in international cricket in April 1990. In the same year played the first Test match against England. Anil Kumble remains the most successful bowler in Team India with 619 wickets in 236 innings of 132 Tests. He also has the distinction of taking 337 wickets in 265 innings of 271 ODIs. Kumble made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in international cricket in April 1990. In the same year played the first Test match against England. Anil Kumble was also the captain of the Indian cricket team for 1 year from November 2007.

Harbhajan Singh was born into a Sikh family. He is the only son of Sardar Sardev Singh Plaha. His father was a businessman. Harbhajan was ready to take over the family business, given the responsibility of the five sisters, but his father insisted that he focus on his cricketing career and represent India. Harbhajan was trended as a batsman by his first coach Charanjit Singh Bhullar, but after the untimely death of his coach, Harbhajan switched to spin bowling.

After his father’s death in 2000, Harbhajan became the head of the family and by 2001 he married his three sisters. After his performance against Australia in 2001, the Punjab government offered him Rs 5 lakh, land and a DSP in the Punjab Police, which he accepted. On 29 October 2015, Harbhajan Singh tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend actress Geeta Basra in Jalandhar. They have a daughter, Hinaya Heer Plaha, born on 27 July 2016 in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Harbhajan Singh has taken 417 wickets in 103 Tests playing for India. Apart from this, he has also scored 2,224 runs which include two centuries and 9 fifties. Harbhajan has taken 269 from 236 ODIs. He has also scored 1,237 runs in ODI cricket. Bhajji has taken 25 wickets in 28 T20 Internationals.

Former Indian batsman Gundappa Vishwanath was eyeing Srinath during a club match. At that time Vishwanath was the selector of the state team. Srinath made his first-class debut for Karnataka against Hyderabad in 1989–90 and took a hat-trick in the first innings. He finished the season with 25 wickets in six matches and again took 20 wickets in the following season. Srinath took more than 500 first-class wickets. Srinath also played English county cricket with Leicestershire and Durham.

Javagal Srinath was selected in the Indian cricket team for the tour of Australia in late 1991. On 29 November 1991, while making his Test debut against Australia in Brisbane, Srinath took three wickets for 59 runs. He ended the tour with 10 wickets at an average of 55.30. On 18 October 1991, Srinath made his ODI debut against Pakistan. On 23 March 2003, Srinath played his last ODI against Australia.
